accessible professionalism
“Accessible professionalism” is the cornerstone of our approach. At GD, we create a space where landowners and clients alike are treated with respect and validation—met by a working professional who’s easy to speak with and committed to practical outcomes.
We believe in equality at the table: clear, courteous, and competent communication that drives timely results and minimizes costs. Every interaction is grounded in realism, respect, and a handshake-level sense of accountability.
origin
My parents were hard-working hippies. We traveled across the U.S., Canada, and Alaska in everything from a VW Bus to a ’64 Ford 4WD—one I’m convinced never had shocks. Wherever they landed, they worked, contributed, saved, and sacrificed. That discipline—and their knack for long-term thinking—eventually gave us roots: a piece of land in Northern Idaho. Sandpoint became home.
Back then, Sandpoint was a rough-cut blend of loggers, hippies, and ranchers. It tolerated no shirkers. Its transformation from a small logging town to a world-class resort wasn’t luck. It was people like my parents—driven, imaginative, and tireless—who steered the ship.
After serving in the Army and earning my degree from Gonzaga University, I found my place in the transition. For 15 years, I worked as a general and public works contractor, building homes and subdivisions that still stand in the community. In 2013, looking to expand my impact, I returned to school—earning an M.S. with an emphasis in Land-Use Planning and a J.D. from the University of Idaho’s Colleges of Natural Resources and Law.
Eighteen months in construction litigation reminded me where I truly belong—on the front end of development. Today, I bring that full arc of experience to every client: from Acquisition to Permitting, until your Vision goes Vertical.
